Wilfred Owen
Wilfred Owen was born in 1893 in Oswestry, England. In 1916, he was commissioned by the 2nd Manchester Regiment and was shipped out to France. During his time in France he moved in and out of the front line. On May 2nd, Owen returned home, "unfit to lead troops," diagnosed with shell shock. He was treated at Craiglockhart Military Hospital by W.H.R. Rivers, where he met Siegfried Sassoon, and wrote poetry.
